Bank of Canada announces Canada's New Polymer Notes
The Bank of Canada is replacing paper notes with polymer (plastic) notes starting with the $100 in November 2011 and the $50 in March 2012. The remaining denominations -- the $20, $10 and $5 notes will be unveiled and issued by the end of 2013.
